The wedding is more than just one day; it also includes everything before and after. It is a time to dive deeply into one’s wishes and hopes for both life and the future. When our founder was preparing for her wedding, she found herself drawn to jewellery she would want to carry with her for the rest of her life, not just for a single day. Explore her thoughts on the wedding, and the jewellery below.
I was getting married in October 2024 where we have our second home, in Liguria, Italy. And I must say, I loved the preparations, the wedding and the time after. There was cancellations of restaurants, some chaos but so much love, and I laught, A LOT. We did all planning ourself, was actually getting legally married in Italy (Ciao, 40 minuts of legals in the chapel, and approx signing of 25 different documents before) and the whole weekend was just as Italy is, and why we love this country so much. Unpredictable, passionate, alive. I'll try to keep it short, but I might get tough..
How fun was it to look for the dress? I had a clear idea of a pretty simple, yet volume-rich skirt kind-of-piece. My first thought was Vestiere, which often is my first choise, but I was breast-feeding and it was hard to find something that suited my measurements. I ended up with a dress I liked the cut of, but removed like 10 layers of tulle which created the drape in the fabric of the skirt I was looking for. It had pockets and I wore it all day and all night and felt like the best version of me. The veil is a 1930's vintage and my sister-in-law made my hair and make-up. I wore the Molti Earrings in 18 Carat Gold, but I was choosing between them and Pari Sterling Silver. On my wrist I was carrying something blue - Blu Anklet.
What to say, the resturants kept open 2 hour more than they got permit to, and we danced. Ended the night with a swim in the sea.
It was the day for the tennis tournament, which was no way serious but it is nice to move the day after. The cloudes was heavy on the morning but after the tennis with following brunch the sun come-out and we had beers and swimmed in the sea. Might be my favorite moment of the whole weekend. Happy, a bit tipsy with my husband, friends and family at my favorite place in the world.
I wore Corso Sterling Necklace as a tribute, since this was the place where I got the idea for the design.
I hope you find a piece of jewellery to carry at your wedding, but mainly I hope you will continue to carry it, to the jeans and shirt, to the anniversary and that it becomes a piece you will love for a long time.
The following pieces I did not have time to carry during the wedding, but I know they are favorites for your weddings, I and have got so nice messages from happy brides which means the world to me.
